Payment Terms
Version 2026-09-19
These terms explain how payments work on WeGet.It. They apply to buyers and sellers, together with the Buyer Terms or Seller Terms.
1. Who we are
WeGet.It is an online marketplace operated by [Legal entity name] (registration number [Registration number]), [Registered address]. You can contact us at [Legal contact email].
In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean [Legal entity name], and "the Platform" means the WeGet.It website and related services.
2. Paystack processes payments
Payments on the Platform are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
When you pay or receive a payout, you also agree to Paystack's own terms and privacy notice, which apply to its services.
3. What a buyer pays
All amounts are in South African rand (ZAR). Before you pay you will see the seller's price, any delivery charge and our admin fee, and the total you will be charged.
4. How money is split
We collect the payment. Our commission is deducted from the seller's share, and the balance is paid to the seller through Paystack. The buyer's admin fee is retained by us.
The commission and admin fee for each order are recorded when the order is created and do not change afterwards.
5. When an order counts as paid
An order is only treated as paid once Paystack confirms that the full amount has been received. If a payment fails, is declined or is abandoned, the order stays unpaid and the seller is not obliged to supply.
6. Refunds
Refunds for goods or delivery are agreed between the buyer and the seller. Where a refund is made, it is returned to the buyer through Paystack and may take several business days to reach the buyer's bank.
Our admin fee and any payment processing fees are not refundable unless we decide otherwise or the law requires it.
7. Chargebacks, disputes and fraud
If a buyer disputes a payment with their bank, the seller is responsible for the dispute and any resulting reversal, and we may deduct the amount from the seller's other payouts.
We and Paystack may block, delay or investigate any payment we suspect is fraudulent, unlawful or in breach of these terms.
8. Payment errors and delays
We are not responsible for errors, outages or delays caused by Paystack, banks or other payment networks, or for losses caused by incorrect bank details supplied by a seller.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will ask you to accept a material change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
