Driver Terms

Version 2026-09-19

These terms apply when you use WeGet.It to receive and complete deliveries for a seller. By joining as a driver you agree to them.

  1. 1. Who we are

    WeGet.It is an online marketplace operated by [Legal entity name] (registration number [Registration number]), [Registered address]. You can contact us at [Legal contact email].

    In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean [Legal entity name], and "the Platform" means the WeGet.It website and related services.

  2. 2. How it works

    A seller invites you to WeGet.It. When they assign you a delivery, you see it in the app, drive the goods to the buyer's site, and confirm delivery with proof (photos, the recipient's name and a signature).

    Your arrangement is with the seller who invited you. WeGet.It is only the software you use. We are not your employer and do not pay you.

  3. 3. Sharing your location

    While a delivery is in progress (from when you tap Start until you complete it) the app shares your phone's location with the buyer and the seller so they can follow the delivery and see an estimated arrival time.

    Sharing stops when you complete the delivery. We do not track you at any other time. We record key moments in a delivery log: when you were assigned, started, arrived (with your position and distance from the site) and delivered.

  4. 4. Proof of delivery

    You may be asked for photos, a signature and the name of the person who received the goods. Only capture what is needed to show the delivery happened. Avoid photographing people where you can, and never capture anything private.

    This information is stored, and shared with the buyer and seller, as evidence of the delivery.

  5. 5. Safety

    Never use the app while driving. Stop somewhere safe first, or let someone else in the vehicle use it. You are responsible for driving safely and lawfully, for the vehicle, and for any licences or permits your work needs.

  6. 6. What we are not responsible for

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility or liability for:

    • the quality, quantity, safety, legality, description, delivery or fitness for purpose of any goods;
    • orders that are wrong, incomplete, late or not delivered, whether because of a mistake by a buyer, a mistake by a seller, or anything else;
    • errors, omissions, misrepresentations or unlawful conduct by any buyer or seller, including in requests, quotes, prices, addresses, quantities and specifications;
    • a buyer or seller failing to pay, deliver, honour a quote or otherwise perform;
    • indirect or consequential loss, including site standing time, delays, penalties, lost profit or lost business.

    Any claim about goods or an order must be made against the other party to that transaction. If we are found liable to you despite these terms, our total liability for a transaction is limited to the fees we received from you on that transaction.

    Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other law that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, or liability for our own fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

  7. 7. Your personal information

    We process personal information as needed to run the Platform, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

    To complete a transaction we share the necessary details, such as names, phone numbers and delivery locations, with the other party to it. If you allow location access, we use your location to pre-fill your delivery location and share it with sellers who are asked to quote.

  8. 8. Changes, notices and law

    We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the affected features.

    You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, including by email and on the Platform, as allowed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

    These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
